Another Mailer, Another Lie

Babied Joe has bombarding mail boxes with his annoying mail pieces for the past few weeks, but he just can't seem to help him by continually lying in them. First it was his detailed jobs plan, which is still absent by the way, now it is about his "successful business".

Babied Joe has been bragging all the time he is out on the campaign trail about his "successful business", which I will get to in a second, but first to the mailer.

Eleven years ago, Joe started his own small business here.

Wrong answer, just tell the truth Joe, its not even a big difference, its only been 7 years since he started BabyJoe LLC, "his very successful business". Of course, when you taken as many shots to the head as Joe, you might not be so good at math.

But more importantly what does this business do?

As best I can tell nothing, Joe seems to have just given himself limited liability.

The business is listed in a Chamber of Commerce Directory... but the phone number listed, 691-0525, is disconnected and it lists the business as "Professional Boxer".

Google searches turn up scant information, but it seems his "very successful business" makes political contributions.

Oh yea, it was also involved in a lawsuit.

So to sum it up, in Babied Joe's world, making a few political contributions, suing and getting counter sued and having a disconnected phone number makes you "very successful".

Joe: Lifelong Democrat Party Flip-Flopper

Joe Mesi seems to have a HUGE problem telling the truth.

Way back in like March Joe sent out a letter to all the Democratic Committeemen saying he was a "Lifelong Democrat".

BUT - When Joe Mesi registered to vote, he registered as a Republican. He's actually been a Republican for Many Many more years of his life than he's been a Democrat.

But then he re-registered as a Democrat - For like, 5 minutes.

Then all of the sudden he re-re-registered as a member of the nut-case rich and corrupt Independence Party. Then he joined the Party Leadership! Yes, "Lifelong Democrat" Joe Mesi was an Independence Party Committeeman!!!! He was even featured on the cover of the official Independence Party Magazine! (ironically, posing with...Tom Golisano...but they claim that they have no contact, of course.). In fact, He ran again for re-election two years later!

Recently Mesi Re-Re-RE-registered as a Democrat for the purpose of fulfilling City Hall Steve Casey's dream of taking over Amherst and Tonawanda, and ending their independence from the Machine Tyranny of City Hall.

Clearly this is a man who will do anything to seize power and pad his ego.

Joe Mesi: Clueless on Abortion

Abortion is one of the defining issues of our time. Roe v. Wade could be overturned with 1 new Supreme Court Justice, and then it would be up to State Legislators to set their own laws again.

But for someone who calls himself "Baby", Joe has no clue on Abortion. His positions have been all over the map.

Two Months Ago, Joe Mesi was Pro Life. He told Joe Illuzzi that he would oppose a bill that reaffirmed and expanded womens abortion rights.

On June 9, Illuzzi posted the following: "Update: The Mesi campaign has reversed Joe's position on abortion reflecting Joe's core belief that he cannot & will not support third trimester abortion...Mesi supports abortion at anytime for any reason...Joe's vote would allow a woman in the 3rd trimester to have a "partial birth abortion" her child's skull crushed, the child's brian sucked out for any reason. We cannot support a candidate for election the first time out who brings this agenda to our State's capital. No matter how nice a guy he is!"

So that meant Joe was Pro-Choice, apparently.

But not just Pro-Choice - no - SO Pro Choice that he supports On-Demand Partial Birth Abortion - Not Even NARAL supports that - they only support for health of the mother!

So Mesi is to the left of NARAL and 83% of the US Population - a Pew Poll last August found only 17% support for Partial Birth abortion.

Finally, Sunday he told Kevin Hardwick's radio program that abortions were being performed by "chiropractors, podiatrists, things of that nature", before declaring his new support for late-term abortion.

I demand that Joe Mesi find a podiatrist or chiropractor who was performing abortions. I mean, c'mon. Really Joe?

Abortion stances are important to us Joe! Even if you don't have one of your one, Make one up and for Gods Sake Stick with it!

Joe Mesi compares himself to a murderer

Mesi in todays Buffalo News says he'll take on Sheldon Silver with the following comparison:

"“Don King versus Sheldon Silver,”

So if I'm reading this right, Joe Mesi is comparing himself to a man who admitted to shooting one man in the back and was convicted of murdering a different person.

Hey Joe: Bribery is Illegal

Did Joe Mesi bribe Glenn Gramigna?

I'm a little confused, because bribery is illegal. And Joe Mesi said on the radio yesterday that he doesn't break the law. But it sure looks like he bribed Glenn Gramigna or NewWNYPolitics.com to not publish a damaging story about him.

Look! I even have evidence!

On April 14, Gramigna said that there would be a "Major Revealing Portrait" or Joe Mesi later that week.

But Joe couldn't let that happen - major donors and top Albany officials read that site!

So what did Joe Moneybags do?

FOUR days later he gave Gramigna $700! 700 Bucks!

A few days later, Gramigna's mentioned Mesi again, but instead of a revealing portrait, he said Mesi had bought an ad!

The next Mesi story wasn't published for a month, and I'm still waiting for my Revealing portrait.

Joe's Detailed Plan: Shorter than a School Supplies List

Catchphrases and Cluelessness: the world got to hear Joe Mesi deliver his lines this morning ("I'm in favor of kids"), then have no details at all to back them up. It was truly painful.

But I'll talk about the disasterous debate some other time. But I'll talk about his lack of a plan right now.

Babied Joe's newest mailer states that "He's offered a detailed, long term plan to revive our economy and create new jobs".

It even says that you can "Learn more about Joe Mesi's Jobs Plan and all his ideas for Western New York at votejoemesi.com"

But his website shows no sign of such. See for yourself.

Instead, he has 241 words on the issue. 241 Words! The 1st Grade School Supplies list at Maple West is longer than that!

And the worst part is that the first half of Joe's "detailed, long-term plan" is devoted to telling me what's wrong, leaving only 124 words on what he'll actually do. And then he goes on to ramble about Roswell Park, a great place for sure, but one that he apparently doesn't know isn't even in the district!

Joe, the people of the 61st district want real jobs for our community. They want to know that their kids will have something waiting for them when they graduate College, and won't have to move to North Carolina. Empty promises won't help them at all.

But I guess I shouldn't expect a real jobs plan from a guy who has never held a real job in his life.

Joe: No need to fight City Hall, They love him

Unemployed Joe still needs a job.

Lucky for him, he has friends in high places.

See, Steve Casey and the City Hall Machine loves Joe Mesi.

Wait, do I mean one of the cities in the District; Batavia or Tonawanda?

No no no, the Buffalo City Hall Machine loves Joe Mesi.

How much does the machine love Joe Mesi? They had a machine petition drive for him! Really - A full 1/3 of his petitioners were City Hall Machine employees! David Granville, Thomas Smith, and Heather Leaderstorf were among the carriers, and the Mayor's Top Office staff, like Dana Bobinchek and Peter Cutler, Director of Communications.

Even Steve Casey, the Machine Boss Deputy Mayor himself, carried Joe Mesi's petitions!

Maybe the machine can get him a job like they got him a ballot position. All I know is that I dont want the City Machine picking MY next State Senator.
